Dr. Stephen Devries, Executive Director of the Gaples Institute and Adjunct Associate Professor Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, was a panelist at the event Advancing Food Is Medicine Approaches, presented by the White House, Tufts University, and Food Tank. Each month, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health offers a nutrition seminar in which faculty and other guest speakers share nutrition-focused content relevant to the Harvard community and beyond. Gaples Institute Executive Director Dr. Stephen Devries, who is also a Adjunct Associate Professor of Nutrition at the Harvard Chan School, delivered a presentation entitled “Nutrition Education in Medical Training: A Powerful Idea for a Healthier World.” He is shown here with Drs. Gaples Institute Executive Director Dr. Stephen Devries participated in a summit of leaders in medical education, to advocate for greater emphasis on nutrition in the curricula of institutions that train physicians. The summit was a joint conference by ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education), AACOM (American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine), and AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges).
