This two-day summit, hosted by Tufts University’s Food is Medicine Institute on April 24-25, 2024, brought together national healthcare leaders, policy makers, patients, and more to share and highlight the advances, best practices, challenges, and next directions in the Food is Medicine movement. Stephen Devries, MD, Executive Director of the Gaples Institute, moderated a lively panel discussion entitled “Progress in Medical Nutrition Education.”

As part of the inaugural Food Is Medicine Summit hosted in Washington, DC by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Gaples Institute Executive Director Stephen Devries, MD was a featured panelist in a session entitled “Building Food is Medicine into Education Across the Health Continuum.” The day-long Summit featured several discussions, talks, and demonstrations on how HHS is working with its partners to jointly support the advancement of Food is Medicine.
